The Commission of Audit - Interim Report examines public sector management in NSW. This interim report will be followed by a final report which will look at expenditure across the sector and specific areas of interest to the Government.

2010-11 Report on State Finances

The Treasurer presented to Parliament the 2010-11 Report on State Finances on 31 October 2011. The Report includes

  • The Consolidated Financial Statements of the New South Wales General Government and Total State Sectors
  • The Outcomes Report

Audit of State Finances Report

Triple A Credit Rating

On 14 December 2011 Fitch upgraded their credit rating for New South Wales from double-A plus to triple-A (Fitch announcement).
Moody’s reaffirmed their triple-A rating for New South Wales on 9 March 2011, and Standard & Poor’s reaffirmed the State’s triple-A rating on 18 October 2011 (S&P announcement). All three ratings are with a stable outlook.

2012-13 Budget
The New South Wales 2012-13 State Budget will be delivered on Tuesday, 12 June 2012.
