2013-14 Report on State Finances

The Treasurer presented to Parliament the 2013-14 Report on State Finances on 28 October 2014. The Report includes the Consolidated Financial Statements of the New South Wales General Government and Total State Sectors, and the Outcomes Report.

NSW Triple-A Credit Rating

New South Wales is rated Triple-A by the two major credit rating agencies. Standard & Poor’s (S&P) reaffirmed NSW’s Triple-A credit rating and upgraded the outlook to stable on 15 October 2014. Moody’s reaffirmed NSW’s Triple-A credit rating with stable outlook on 5 June 2014. The most recent press releases from each credit rating agency are available from the following links.

NSW Submission to the Competition Policy Review

The NSW Government recently made a submission to the Competition Policy Review. The submission highlights NSW’s commitment to improving competition across the economy as a critical driver of productivity and economic growth. The submission discusses regulatory impediments, institutional structures to support reform, the role of competition in public service provision, and new opportunities and challenges for competition policy.
