“For me, Treasury stands out for our expertise, modern working environment and flexible work practices”
My career with Treasury began quite recently in June 2017. I was ready for a new challenge after a ten-year career with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) that included a posting in Switzerland and, before DFAT, I worked as a lawyer. My current Treasury role is Manager of the Cabinet Unit, with a great team that manages and advises on Cabinet processes for Treasury.
Since commencing my role with Treasury, I have been impressed by our central agency contribution to Cabinet decision making. The opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the whole NSW Government sector through the network of Cabinet Liaison Officers also provides an interesting platform to refine my stakeholder engagement skills.
For me, Treasury stands out for our expertise, modern working environment and flexible work practices. The sophisticated technology we have supporting Treasury employees to do their job is a considerable leap from what I have worked with previously. The mobility of the workforce, both in Treasury and across the NSW public sector, enables talented individuals to broaden their experiences. I believe Treasury has been, and will continue to be a great team to develop my career.
