Project Description:

  
The Rosehill Camellia Recycled Water Project involves:

  • a connection to source secondary effluent from the Liverpool to Ashfield pipeline;
  • construction of a pilot plant;
  • construction of a recycled water treatment plant and associated assets;
  • construction of a 20 kilometre recycled water distribution network, associated reservoirs and pumping stations;
  • Sydney Water Corporation will purchase a minimum volume of 10.5 mega-litres per day, and on-sell the recycled water to seven Foundation Customers; and
  • the term of the agreement is 20 years.
Current Status:

On 11 August 2008, the Project Agreement, and associated Side Deeds, was signed between Sydney Water Corporation, AquaNet Sydney Pty Ltd, Veolia Water Australia Pty Ltd and SPI Rosehill Network Pty Ltd. The Project Agreement became effective on 26 June 2009, on the satisfaction of the requisite conditions precedent.
