NSW Government Assessment of the Impact of Commonwealth's Proposed Carbon Tax


Analysis of the impacts of the Commonwealth Government's proposed carbon pricing measures announced on 10 July 2011.

The analysis is based on the Commonwealth Treasury's economic modelling, to the extent of the detail of that modelling that had been publicly released by the end of July 2011.  In particular the analysis has been prepared without access to the Commonwealth's electricity sector modelling consultants reports.

Carbon tax impact modelling update June 2012

In June 2012, Treasury engaged Frontier Economics to update the modelling performed last year to determine the carbon tax impact on the three state-owned generators.
