The TOES system requirements are:

REQUIREMENT

DETAIL

Analogue phone line

The phone line must be able to dial 0198-type numbers. Some PABX's register this number as an STD number, so STD barring may need to be removed from this line. Alternatively, the dial in number may be entered in the PABX's exclusion table. This is solely dependant upon the Agencies PABX.

Modem

Treasury provides a D-Link DMF-506E Austel approved modem to Agencies. It is not compulsory to use this modem if agencies already have dial out facilities and can reliably connect to external services.

Windows based PC

The minimum configuration is as follows

  • Pentium II 233 Mhz
  • 64 MB RAM
  • 800 X 600 screen resolution
  • Minimum 3 GB free drive space for installation
  • CD-ROM
  • Vacant serial port (for modem connection)

Operating system

The following operating systems are supported

  • Windows 98/SE
  • Windows 2000
  • Windows XP Professional

The following ARE NOT SUPPORTED

  • Windows 95
  • Windows ME

Windows 95 is not supported due partly to limitations within the communications stack, but primarily due to the fact that Microsoft has withdrawn all support and development services for this platform. Windows ME is not supported due to numerous driver incompatibilities and instability issues.

Operating System Patch Level

Windows 98/SE

  • Internet Explorer version 4.3 or higher
  • Dial UP Networking patch 1.3
  • DCOM2 should be installed

The Dial UP Networking patch and the DCOM2 patch are available for downloading by clicking here.

Windows 2000 Professional

  • Service Pack 3 or higher

Windows XP Professional

  • Service Pack 1

The service packs for NT, 2000 and XP are not available for downloading from the Treasury web site. These must be downloaded from the Microsoft site or installed from CD.

Note that if Internet Explorer version 6 is used, Service Pack 1 for Internet Explorer 6 should be applied.

N.B. For Windows NT, 2000 and XP, you will probably have to log in as a local administrator to install the modem, the dial up connection and the SAPGUI software. This is determined solely by your local network configuration and environment.
